Welcome to the Best Fort Myers Moms Blog!

Hey there! I’m Mary, just your regular mom trying to juggle life, work, and all the chaos that comes with having twin 13-year-olds. Yep, you read that right—13! Time really does fly. When I had Jenny and Sam, I was only 19, and let me tell you, I had no idea what I was getting into. I was just a kid myself, figuring out how to care for two tiny humans who wanted to be fed, changed, and entertained 24/7. But here we are—fast forward to today—and I wouldn’t change a thing. So I started a Fort Myers Moms Blog to help other moms learn the things I wish someone had told me over the years.

I live in sunny Fort Myers with my husband, Rob, who’s somehow always able to make me laugh even on the most hectic of days. And then there’s Jenny and Sam—sassy, sweet, and full of energy. They keep me on my toes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s always something going on at our house, whether it’s sibling drama, dance recitals, or just a good old-fashioned game of video games.

When I’m not chasing after my kids or trying to sneak in a moment of quiet (which is almost impossible), you’ll find me working as a nurse. Yep, I do the whole “saving lives” thing by day, but when I clock out, it’s time for full-on mommy mode. But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Being a nurse has taught me a lot about patience and multitasking, and it definitely comes in handy with a house full of kids and a husband who always seems to need something (Love you, Rob!).

I was born and raised in Plant City, Florida, and yes, I still love a good strawberry shortcake! But now I’m living in Fort Myers. We’re always on the go—whether it’s a day at the park, a spontaneous beach trip (because who doesn’t need a little sand between their toes?), or packing up the car for a weekend camping getaway. Oh, and don’t get me started on the food. Rob and I might have a serious love affair with trying new restaurants around town.

Some days feel like a whirlwind—between the work, the kids, the errands, and the constant demand for snacks (seriously, why are kids always hungry?!). But amidst the craziness, I try to find the humor in it all. Life’s too short to stress over spilled juice or mismatched socks. (And if you’re a mom, you know exactly what I’m talking about!)

So why did I start this blog? Well, after a long day of wrangling kids, squeezing in some nursing shifts, and trying to stay sane, I realized something: other moms out there are probably just as tired, just as confused, and just as happy as I am. I wanted to share my experiences—whether it’s tips for surviving life with twins, fun family activities, or just a little dose of humor to get through the day. If you’re looking for real talk, messy moments, and a few laughs, you’re in the right place.

And who knows, maybe you’ll even get some travel tips, because if there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s making memories with my family, whether we’re traveling across the state, or camping under the stars.

So, that’s me. A nurse, a mom, and a woman who’s just trying to make it all work. Grab a cup of coffee (or wine, I won’t judge), and stay awhile. Let’s navigate this crazy thing called motherhood together!
